Upgrade Your Business Phone System
If you have a legacy office phone system at your location in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Seattle, Portland, or city within the US, it may be time for a small business phone system upgrade. Some issues you may be encountering could be speed, reliability, and the limited features of your existing system. Speed has become critical in today’s world, from mobile devices to TVs, everything needs to be fast. Often times when trying to run a business we don’t think about how the speed of the phone system can impact growth. Let’s take for example a customer service representative speaking with a client and the conversation is choppy. A scenario like this could be attributed to a couple of things, your phone systems CPU being at max utilization, or worse, your hardware is starting to go bad. If this is a constant occurrence it may be time for a new business phone system.
Upgrading office phone systems may be needed if you’re struggling with reliability. I touched on this briefly in the last paragraph, regarding hardware starting to go bad. Let’s dive in deeper, the reliability of your business communication is vital to your success. Unstable reliability is normally related to older Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone systems. While these out-of-date systems worked well in their prime, things don’t last forever. When hardware breaks, parts and phones get harder to find, which will lead to purchasing refurbished products. When software breaks, that’s when issues are very difficult to repair. Older phone systems are particular about their software and making sure you have the right version that correlates to your specific hardware is important. Not to mention having to load it onto a CD, or floppy can get technical. Keep in mind this might not even work, as more often than not, when an older system has corrupted software, it’s near impossible to fix.
The last reason that may push you to upgrade your system are the limited features. Technologies are consistently evolving, what used to work 10-15 years ago is nothing compared to the apps businesses look for today. Copper cabling is being replaced with fiber, PRI circuits are becoming more expensive and are not feasible to continue paying for. Especially when you can upgrade to a business VoIP solution instead.
That’s just from the carrier’s perspective, what about within your organization? Are you seeking more insight into your business with call recording and call tracking? Or looking for phones with built-in video? Recent world events and change of work practices have pushed employees to work remotely. Does your current phone system support these new features? (i.e., Cisco Jabber, Avaya OneX). These are all great questions to think about when looking at reasons to upgrade to a new business phone system. We work with many different phone systems like Avaya, NEC, JIVE/GoConnect, OnSIP, Nextiva, and 3CX phone system. If you’re located at San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Seattle, Portland or within the US, we will find a solution right for you.
